I am being stretched in the act of patience. Patience as I wait. It is an area in my life that will probably always need to be strengthened. I am still seeking work and a studio to work in. Somehow I new post-grad life would present its difficulties, but to what extent was another thing. I think I might actually have a lead on some studio space and will hopefully work out those details come Monday. As I have said many times, I am aching to get back into my own work. I have taken advantage of my time away by sketching lots of new ideas and reading up on new equipment, tools, methods and artists. Right now, that is what is keeping me “artistically alive”. As my own plans have fallen through, in some respects, I have hope that something great is in store for me. I have been sketching different signatures and logos to stamp my work with and I think I have come up with the one I will use. Coming up with a logo is a tough thing. You want it to be clean and sharp, as well as artistic and memorable. I love the idea of a monogram style stamp as my logo. It can be used to easily recognize my work and still lend itself useful in advertising and the like. Later today I am going to start making the stamp. I have learned a new way to carve my logo using jewelers wax. It should be pretty interesting…I’ll let you know how it goes!
Jeremiah 29:11-13 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart.'”
