Getting ready for June!

Out on the fishing pier over the Bay

Andrew and I had a wonderful visit in Maryland this past weekend visiting my family and attending the wedding of a close friend.  We spent a day at Down’s Park with my parents, my brother Austin, and our three dachshunds.  It was a pretty warm day, so it was nice to be able to walk along the shaded trails and dip our feet into the cool bay.  Even Gypsy (one of our dachshunds) walked into the bay to cool off!  It was great to be outside and be back in my home state!  My dad and I had a great time talking “shop”, and compared our ideas and sketches.  We have come up with a plan for my tiled-mirror as well as some new furniture ideas/designs involving my tiles.  I need to finish up with my clay order and make sure I have that squared away before I make my order final.  The wiring and voltage for my kiln started this past weekend while we were away,  so it is getting closer to its first firing.  I am hoping to have my first firing by July.  Since I am planning to get back on the wheel in a week or so, I should be able to have a lot of stuff to send through my first firings by then.  I can’t wait.  Also, I am working on getting current pottery that I have for sale, up on Etsy.com for purchase.  So, stay tuned.  I will let you know when that is up and running.  Hopefully sooner, rather than later.

  • Since we had given our “wedding mugs” to the Davenports in December, we got our own mugs on Sunday. I love the size, allowing me just enough coffee to start the day. We’re excited about the collaboration with your Dad and will look forward to your creations!ReplyCancel
