It is going to be a busy day!

Andrew got back last night from a weekend away at Saranac Lake, getting the camp ready for Young Life campers this summer.  He asked me if I had gotten my clay order together yet and when I would be ready to place it.  I responded with an Oh, I don’t know.  Andrew said let’s order it tomorrow…so tomorrow is here and I am going to finalize my order today and place it!  Yikes!  I am so glad he encourages me to keep making the next steps.  This is the hardest part, I believe, about getting started on your own – you have to do it and be motivated to keep pushing forward to make the progress.

"Devil's Punch Bowl", in chocolate crystalline

With that being said, I am determined to do so.  Today, I am hoping to finally get my Esty account going so I can start selling my work…like this bowl here.  I have been reading all of the “fine print” on the terms and conditions for using Esty, that is why it has taken me longer than expected.  Also, since Andrew was away all weekend, we are taking the afternoon and spending it in Newington together.  While we are out I think I might pick up some buckets to use for recycling clay, mixing glazes, and for storing raw materials.  Aside from various cleaning that is on my list for the day, I am going to design my business cards and artist cards as well.

    Hi Aryyn,

Speaking of clay orders….Glad to see you getting set up and ready to start. I am so excited for you! When you get everything organized and ready for an order, I need 10 candle sticks, all different, heights, sizes- but the same glaze. I want to put them on the fireplace mantel. I would love to have something you made. You are so talented!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    • Well you can consider your order first on the queue!! Thank you, and yes, I would be happy to do those for you! You can let me know what color you like best, and if you would like them crystalline glazed, which is what most of my images are of. Also, do you want these to be for tapers or pillar candles? This will be good for me to plan when I make my clay order.

      Will be in touch!

  • Way to go! Setting up is the hardest part, but I think it gets easier with time. I used to hate getting new supplies.ReplyCancel

  • I love the piece in that photo, Arryn! I got some great business cards through a company- and it was reasonably priced, easy to upload your own design, and they had printing options including 100% post consumer waste material. Let me know if you want the info!ReplyCancel

    • Yes, Kaylan, I would love the infor on those business cards! Coincidentally, I just finished designing both my business cards and my artist cards and was looking up different printing options. For things in the past I have used Vistaprint and I do like them. But, please do send me that info. Thank you so much!ReplyCancel
