Visiting Maine

This week I am taking a break from work and life in New Hampshire and spending a week in Maine with my family!  My mom, dad and brothers traveled up here from Maryland to spend a week with me and Andrew in Maine, on the Saco River!  It has been a great couple of days here.  Yesterday we spent FIVE hours canoeing down the river.  The whole trip probably would have only taken 3 hours, but we kept finding great swimming holes and random rope swings we just had to give a try on our way.  It was such a great day and we were surrounded by God’s beautiful creation!  We saw a heron, blue birds, turtles, a muskrat, and a bald eagle!  That was my first time to actually see one in the wild!  It was awesome!  At some point we are all going to visit Saco River Pottery (my brother discovered this place just 5 minutes down the road from us).  Can’t wait to see what they are creating and selling!  I’ll keep you posted on what I find there.  Maybe I’ll be inspired to create  something new.

So happy for you! Looks like a wonderful trip! I’m glad Andrew married into a family who loves outdoor activities as much as he does! We’re a little slow in that category, although I do love being outdoors! =) And I’m sure I would have enjoyed this canoe trip… So pretty!ReplyCancel
