It’s Official…

As of 2:00pm this afternoon, I am officially an independent artist! That’s right, I am doing my pottery full-time, as my career! I have been working towards this day for a while and I can’t believe it is here. I have waited to tell about it on my blog until it was official. I am excited to be working for myself and doing something I truly love for a living. I am a little nervous about this next step, well leap, but I am ready for it too.

I didn’t quit without something lined-up, so I have a lot to be working on and now, the time to be doing everything! I am so excited and feel so fortunate to be in the place that I am with my business. Many thanks to those of you who have supported me, kept up with my blog, and encouraged me! Here’s a peak at what I have lined-up for myself:

– 5 Current commissions that I am working on (hopefully more to come)
– Building up my inventory and stock for Etsy (
– Preparing for a show in the fall back home in MD
– Gathering a small collection of work to hopefully sell in a shop near by in Massachusetts.
– Keeping up with my blog
– Applying for and working towards getting into a great craft-fair for this summer and winter

I have tons to be working on, so keep checking in!
