Turkey Day and Some Leftovers

That was one beautiful bird coming out of the oven and even tastier!  This year Andrew and I got to spend Thanksgiving with the Vogan side of the family and it has been wonderful.  We had a delicious dinner with the family and Andrew’s grandparents as well.  It is one of my favorite holidays.  I love sitting down as a family to enjoy a holiday meal.  We had a great day yesterday.  This only thing I missed was the Macy’s Day Parade!  I can’t believe I forgot to turn on the TV and check it out!  I have watched that every year since I was a little girl and I missed it this year!  Arg!

Andrew and his dad worked on carving the turkey and arranged it beautifully.  We had such a nice day together and ended the day with pie and watching the Lord of the Rings.  I completely crashed on the couch!  Today we are enjoying the leftovers in sandwich form.  Most amazing sandwich.  We hit the mall to do some shopping (well after the Black Friday craziness).

Colby was always near by and hopeful for scraps to fall to the floor

We have also been playing “the Game of Things”.  It is so much fun.  Kind of similar to Apple to Apples…at least along those same lines.  I am off to make a ginger bread village with my sister-in-law.  I love being here.

Sounds like lots of fun! I’ve seen that game at the store and thought it looked fun. We missed you and Andrew, but I’m so thankful for Andrew’s wonderful family who loves you so very much!ReplyCancel
