Making a Statement

This jar definitely makes a statement.  I think this is the largest piece I have thrown and completed.  I made this piece over the summer and blogged about it when it was first thrown and bisque fired, but never glazed.  Well, I think it is time I share with you how this jar turned out!  I am really proud of this piece, but a bit sad that the lid to this jar did not make it during the glaze firing.  It still works as a jar though, even without the lid.  This piece is glazed in my copper crystalline glaze and I just love the size and clusters of crystals that grew on this pot!  I never know how they will turn out, but I am always hopeful for results like this.  I had this piece in my December exhibit with branches of pussy-willow standing tall inside the jar.  It was a really nice look.  This Jar stands 14″ tall.  I am planning on posting this jar for sale on my Etsy Shop, but I first need to try and figure out this shipping for this piece.
