A Knob for Every Door

I am letting you all in on a collection of mine:  door knobs.  Well, hardware really.  I have been collecting different knobs for a while now with the hopes that one day, when I have my own house, each cabinet and drawer in my kitchen will have a different knob or pull.  I love how funky each of these are – especially when they are all together like this! Most of these are from the store, Anthropologie…about the only thing I can afford in there, but they are my favorite thing in that store!  Every six months Andrew and I drive 50 minutes to Long’s jewelers to get our wedding rings inspected and cleaned (to keep up with our lifetime warranty).  While our rings are getting cleaned and polished, we head over to the Burlington Mall across the street for Chick-fil-a and a trip to Anthropologie to pick out two more knobs.  It has become one of our favorite little traditions.  I want to try to make some of my own out of clay and crystalline glaze them to add to my collection.  We shall see how tricky that will be.

your knob collection is fascinating! I like the idea of a home where no two knobs are alike! And a unique tradition for the two of you!ReplyCancel
