After a wonderful weekend at home in Maryland, Andrew, Noah and I are back home in New Hampshire. We got back into town this past Wednesday afternoon. It was so great to be in MD with my family again, as always, but it was also great to have another art show. This is the second solo show that I have done in Maryland. My parents have graciously hosted it both times in their home. Not only do they host but they rented a Uhaul truck to remove furniture so there would be plenty of floor space for pottery set-up, let me hammer new holes in the walls for hanging pieces, cooked and prepared a delicious spread of food, and welcomed a couple hundred people into their home! Mom and Dad, you are the best! Many thanks to my whole family for their hard work and support this past weekend. My in-laws even made the trip down to help out and support me! Thank you guys – so great to have you join us! A lot of prep went into the show and I am happy to say it was a great success. The house was packed with people, so many it was hard to navigate at times! If the show keeps being a success in the future, we may need to find a new location!
I wish I could share some images of the show actually happening, but I only have images of the set-up. At least you will get to see the house before everyone arrived and get a feel for the night. It was a lot of fun. I loved catching up with old friends and sharing my work with everyone and answering some questions about my work too. Luke McFadden did a great job and everyone was very impressed with his work. Big thanks to Mike of Colden Coffee for supplying his delicious roasted coffee. Thanks, Luke McFadden, for being a part of the show! Melissa Ellen’s Loft was a hit too, thank for being a part of the show! Hope to do this again next year!
