Taking Pictures

Catching up on Etsy always seems to take me some time.  I tend to wait until I have a LOT of pieces to upload onto my online shop and do it all at once rather than just posting them as I go.  That would make the most sense and yet, I still don’t tend to do that.  About a month ago I purchased this light box and set of lights to be able to take better photos of my work.  It is so nice to have the smooth white backdrop for nice bright images of my pieces without those pesky shadows and harsh reflections.  They look so much more professional.  I looked into making one, but I new that it would never actually get done…at least not soon.  I have way too many projects going on over here.  The lightbox I am using is a soft shell and can completely collapse and fold down into a zippered pouch!  I got the big one for use with my bigger pieces.  It does seems a bit extreme in size when I am shooting a mug like this or something even smaller, like earrings!  I am glad I purchased and have started using it.  It truly has made all the difference when taking pictures of my work.  Lots of new things are being added to etsy.  Keep checking in to see more work being posted over the next two weeks!

  • awesome!! i think it’s a great investment, and I always say things like “I should make that” but in some cases it’s better to buy and save the time – which as you know is one of the most valuable things we have 🙂ReplyCancel
