The first two wall clocks I ever made were Christmas gifts for my brother and my mother-in-law a couple of years ago. I took a bunch of pictures of those two clocks so I could blog about them. After posting the blog and sharing the new items, I was contacted about making two more clocks as a custom order. I made a few for my spring show and now have four clocks, all different, that are now posted on my Etsy shop for sale. In such a digital world, I like having a face clock on my wall. I think they have become a piece of art now rather than a way to check time – everyone uses a phone. My favorite aspect about the clocks are the fact that they are made from a flat plate on the wheel. When you crystal glaze a flat surface, the crystals can grow in some pretty amazing colors and sizes since the glaze is not running off the pot. The crystal development on these clocks are pretty neat looking and are even more interesting and intricate up close. If you haven’t stopped by my shop in a while, I have been posting a lot of new things, so come check it out here. Plus, Etsy is just awesome anyways. So many talented people out there!
