I am excited to say that I have completed the paperwork and sale for a brand new kiln this afternoon! It should be shipping out to me tomorrow! I am so excited to have this brand new kiln added to my growing business. It is my silver lining right now,as my current kiln has been giving me quite the headache this past month. It turned out I was spending more money on my kiln in repairs and new parts, than it would cost me to put the downpayment on a new kiln. So that is what I have done! I looked at a bunch of different kinds, but my heart kept going back to the ConeArt kiln. They are top-of-the-line for an electric kiln and offer a much more reliable firing cycle. I first fired in a ConeArt kiln at Houghton College where I began my work with crystalline glazes. It really is an amazing piece of equipment, and I am so thrilled to be able to start firing right off the bat, get these final commissions completed and out the door, and wrap everything up before the holidays hit. When the kiln comes in I will be sure to share some pictures of the new studio member!
