Maybe this is the perfect time of year to hang up a mirror like this. Hand-rolled and cut round tiles layered in a circular formation form a wreath-like pattern around this mirror. When I first had the idea for this, I was going to glaze each tile to be all the same. I made several of them and glazed each one in a different crystalline glaze so I could decide on which one I wanted to use for the mirror. When I had five different glazed tiles all laid out in a row, I just loved the way the different colors all looked together. I felt like it made you look at each tile more individually when each was different. The first circular-tiled mirror I made was sold at this year’s spring show. It sold within the first hour of my show, too! I had only made the one and had a few people asking me if there were more. This mirror was made for my former neighbor back home in MD. I grew up next to her and babysat each of her children. I am glad this one is going to a good friend. Enjoy!
