Wall Clock Commission

Maternity leave has started!  Our baby boy is one week old today – hard to believe.  I will be sure to share more on that and my baby story, so keep checking in to hear about our little Greyson and see some pictures as well.  I am planning to take 6 weeks off of my studio work to fully recover and just enjoy my new little one as well as adjust to life as a family of four.  Already it is proving to be a wonderful blessing and a challenge at the same time.

This wall clock was my last commission before maternity leave.  I was able to complete it before our baby came, but not get it out the door until this afternoon.  It is en route and I am excited for the completion of the piece and the thought of it hanging on the wall in its new home!  I did a smaller version of this clock that was posted on Etsy.  I was approached through my shop about this clock, but could I make it bigger, like 18″ in diameter instead of 10″?  Excited to take on the commission, I took it got to work.  The crystals came out so amazing! I just love the way the navy crystalline grows on a flat surface.  Silver scroll hands keep the time around cobalt crystalline number dials for the 3, 6, 9 and 12 time placements.  Jill – I hope you truly enjoy your wall clock!
